F.A.Q.

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. Come prepared to be outside all day, rain, shine, or snow! Please bring a water bottle, wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Q. What if I have zero outdoor experience?

A. Our programming is designed for those of all skill-level. Believe it or not, we used to be beginners, too, so we know how intimidating the outdoors can be. If you bring a positive attitude and are willing to get your hands dirty, you will have a great time!

Q. Do I have to be a mom to attend?

A. No, not at all. We will have a few times throughout the day where we will address how to teach these skills to those around us. However, please remember this can be taught to other adults as well.

Q. Where can I stay during the event?

A. We encourage everyone to stay at Firefly Hills. if that is within your means. Not only because it is an amazing space, but because that is where we will be staying!

Q.  Do I need my own knife or fire-making materials?

A. No, we will provide everything you need to leave a Woman in the Woods.

Testimonials

Chopped Tree Trunk

"Montana Hybrid Academy's bushcraft days are my son's favorite day every week. He has gained confidence in skills that we could never have taught him. Now he is teaching us, and it is incredible! "

Tree Roots

"My daughter's week in the woods with Montana Hybrid Academy was not only an amazing learning experience for her, but it has been wonderful for her to make friendships with other kids that want to be outside and not on a device all day."

Budding Tree

Our kids just had a fantastic week in the woods with MHA. I can't recommend this program enough.

They learned how to navigate, make shelters, purify water, and much more. Our kids came home confident, happy, and dirty!
